At age 14, Gabby Douglas moved to Iowa to train with Liang Chow. In 2011, her team won a gold medal at the finals of the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Also, she won at the 2012 Olympic Trials, where she was selected to compete at the 2012 Olympics, representing the US. At the 2012 Olympics, Gabby Douglas became the first African American to win the individual all-around event. Also, she won team gold medals at both the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
